Located in the town of North East, PA and founded in 1977 Post Apple carries over 2500 reagents and other laboratory items. Office Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and distributes communications; collects and mails correspondence
  • Copies and stores important documents and records.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and anticipates supply needs; ensures prompt

    ordering and delivers supplies to work stations as needed.

  • Provides office communications support by fielding calls, answering questions,

    forwarding messages, confirming customer orders and keeping customers informed of

    order status.

  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting failures,

    calling for repairs, monitoring equipment operation and purchasing meter funds.

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and

    different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

    This is a part time position working 20-25 hours a week. The office assistant position pays $12.00-$13.00 per hour on a weekly pay schedule. The office assistant will be eligible for a raise 6 months after date of hire. Holidays, 5 sick days and 10 vacation days will be paid at a normal days rate. any necessary training will done on the job.

Chemical Packer

Post Apple prides itself on maintaining a loyal customer base by meeting those customer needs with quality and efficiency.

Post Apple Scientific inc is looking to hire a full time chemical packer. Chemical packers assist in down packing materials from bulk containers and filling orders. Working in our warehouse chemical packers work with the Warehouse Manager to maintain stock, clean, and prep materials for shipping. Chemical packers may also be required to help create chemical solutions according to company formulas. Other duties may be assigned, and our employees are expected to be flexible in their willingness to perform tasks.

To meet our customers’ needs many of our products are measured in metric units and repackaged into sale quantities. Employees will also be required to label and package products for shipping according to customer specifications. Chemical packers will be required to be able to use electric scales and balances. Fine motor skills are essential for packaging chemicals in precise amounts. Maintaining a clean workspace is necessary, therefore all employees are required to keep their work space and tools clean at all times.

Post Apple sells many different materials, so chemical packers will be expected to be able to learn and remember product locations. Employees may also be required to answer phone calls, answer questions and take orders. Employees working in the warehouse may be required to give estimates of remaining stock.

A catalog of products will be provided to aid in these conversations, but the knowledge of current inventory levels is important. Therefore the ability to accurately estimate amounts of materials is also important.

To work in the warehouse, one must be capable of working in environments that are not temperature controlled. Employees must also be able to climb stairs and navigate narrow aisle ways along with being on their feet for extended periods of time. Along with using the stairs, employees must be able to work at reasonable heights (i.e. Using mobile stairs to access items on shelves and warehouse mezzanines.) Spacial awareness is vital to ensure that containers containing chemical materials aren’t spilled.

Safety is a main priority at Post Apple. Some of the materials our employees handle are dangerous. To maintain the safety of everyone, proper PPE (personal protective equipment) is provided by Post Apple to employees and is required to be worn appropriately. Chemical Packers will be trained to know when PPE is required.

General Duties include:
Down packing materials in to smaller containers Boxing materials for orders
Shelving incoming materials
Answering the phone
Mixing solutions

High School Diploma
Valid State Identification
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Ability to work on a team
Able to do repetitive tasks
Forklift certification preferred, but not required
